The rules for using GolfAcross, managing purchases and subscriptions, and participating in our golf community.

1. Your agreement with GolfAcross

These Terms govern your use of the GolfAcross website and iOS and Android apps, including scoring, statistics, groups, competitions and paid features. Your agreement is with GolfAcross ApS.

By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled; agreement to these Terms is not consent to optional data processing.

2. Eligibility and accounts

The Services are intended for golfers aged 16 and above. Users under 16 must have a parent or legal guardian’s involvement and permission, and may use the Services only where local law allows. If you cannot enter a binding agreement yourself, your parent or guardian must agree on your behalf. Purchases require the account holder’s authorisation.

Provide accurate information, keep login details secure and tell us promptly about unauthorised access. Do not impersonate another person or use their membership credentials. You are responsible for activity you authorise through your account. Club and group administrators must have authority to act for their organisation and to provide information about participants.

3. Permission to use the Services

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services for your own golf activity and authorised club, group or event administration, subject to these Terms and your plan. GolfAcross and its licensors retain ownership of the software, branding and other content we provide.

Do not copy, resell or sublicense the Services, circumvent access controls, scrape personal information, interfere with systems or reverse engineer software except where applicable law expressly permits it.

4. Fair play and user content

Do not post unlawful, hateful, threatening, sexually exploitative or harassing content, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, send spam, commit fraud or deliberately falsify scores. Obtain necessary permissions before uploading images, personal information or other content about someone else.

You retain ownership of content you submit. You give GolfAcross a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, display and share that content only as needed to operate and improve the features you use, including scorecards and leaderboards. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for lawful retention and copies already shared with other users as explained in the Privacy Policy.

Report abusive users, illegal content or rights infringements through available reporting tools or email support@golfacross.com with enough detail to locate the issue. We may investigate reports, remove content and restrict accounts where reasonably necessary. You can contact support to challenge a moderation decision.

5. Golf information and events

Scores, handicaps, course information, maps, distances and rankings depend on information from users and third parties and may contain errors. Check information before relying on it in an official competition. Organisers and golf authorities determine applicable event and handicap rules; GolfAcross does not replace them.

Use the app safely on the course, observe local rules and remain aware of other people and conditions. GPS and distance tools are aids and may be inaccurate or unavailable. Clubs and organisers are responsible for their events, eligibility, entry fees and event cancellation policies. Any additional event terms must be made available when you enter.

6. Paid features and subscriptions

Before you purchase, the checkout or store purchase screen shows the product, price, currency, billing period and any trial or renewal conditions. Features and availability depend on the plan and platform. Taxes and charges are as disclosed at checkout.

Recurring subscriptions renew automatically for the displayed billing period unless cancelled before the applicable renewal deadline. For Apple subscriptions, cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid renewal; the Apple account may be charged within the 24 hours before that period ends. For Google Play or web subscriptions, follow the deadline shown by the billing provider. A trial converts to the disclosed paid subscription unless cancelled in time.

Manage or cancel Apple subscriptions in your Apple account’s Subscriptions settings, Google Play subscriptions in Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, and web subscriptions through the relevant billing account or support. Cancellation normally stops future renewals while access continues until the paid period ends. Uninstalling GolfAcross or deleting your GolfAcross account does not cancel a separately billed subscription.

Refund requests for store purchases follow Apple’s refund process or Google Play’s refund process. Contact us for purchases billed directly by GolfAcross. Mandatory cancellation, withdrawal and refund rights under local law remain unaffected. Where immediate delivery of digital content requires your express consent and acknowledgement concerning withdrawal rights, those must be obtained at checkout.

We will notify you of subscription price changes and obtain agreement where required by law or store rules. Use the restore-purchases option where available with the store account used to purchase, or contact support if access is missing.

7. Apple App Store and Google Play

Store purchases and downloads are also subject to the applicable Apple or Google terms. For an iOS app obtained through the App Store, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the app licence, unless a separate custom EULA is presented in the store. These Terms additionally govern the GolfAcross Services and do not replace that standard licence.

GolfAcross is responsible for the Services and support we provide. Apple and Google do not operate GolfAcross competitions or provide our customer support. Third-party maps, payment services and linked websites have their own terms. Any mandatory store rules and statutory consumer rights continue to apply.

8. Closing accounts and service changes

You can stop using the Services at any time and request deletion through profile Settings → Delete user or the account deletion page. Export or save records you need before deletion. Retention of personal information is explained in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or end access for a material breach, unlawful activity, security concerns or a legal requirement. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to address it or appeal. Urgent protective action may be taken without advance notice.

Features may change or be interrupted for maintenance. If we discontinue a paid service or materially reduce what you have purchased, we will provide notice and any remedy required by law, including an applicable refund. Suspension or termination does not remove your statutory rights.

9. Responsibility and consumer rights

We aim to provide the Services with reasonable care and skill, but cannot promise uninterrupted access, compatibility with every device or the accuracy of user and third-party information. You are responsible for your internet access and related network charges.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the agreement was made, or for business losses from use of consumer features. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your mandatory rights concerning digital content and services remain intact.

10. Governing law and complaints

Please contact support@golfacross.com first so we can try to resolve a complaint. These Terms are governed by Danish law, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. Consumers may bring proceedings before courts available under applicable consumer law; these Terms do not require you to give up that right.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for legal, security, operational or feature changes. We will identify the updated version by the date above and give reasonable notice of material changes. Where required, we will ask for your acceptance. If you do not agree, you may stop using the Services and cancel future subscription renewals; any statutory remedies remain available.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. Failure to enforce a provision immediately does not waive it. Contact us with questions:
